This week in Room 207...

Reading Objectives:


  • Readers will explore the differences between narrative and expository text.
  • Readers will understand how to read narrative nonfiction as stories with main characters.
  • Readers will seek the big, underlying ideas in narrative nonfiction.


Writing Objectives:

  • Writers will work to improve word choice as they revise.
  • Writers will begin to draft their wax museum monologues.


Math Objectives:

  • Mathematicians will begin to explore fractions.
  • Mathematicians will learn about numerators and denominators.
  • Mathematicians will create their own fraction bar manipulatives to use throughout the unit.


Project Objectives:
  • Researchers will explore how objects move.
  • Researchers will learn about push and pull.  
  • Researchers will explore how gravity impacts motion.
